MidSouthCon the place to be.
Just got back from MidSouthCon, did 4 panels there that all went quite well. This was my first trip to MidSouth and found it to be an excellent con, the quality of art was top notch, there were plenty of quality authors in attendance for the writer's tracks, and some seriously knowledgeable comic enthusiasts there. And while I did not participate the gaming, computer gaming, or the LARP tracks, they all seemed to be quality, and certainly had plenty of participants. This con also had the most equal spread of age groups I have seen in a very long time. Most cons lately seem to have very few younger people and way to many old geezers like me, was great to see so many people across the age spectrum. It gives hope that science fiction & fantasy books, and fandom in general will not be completely replaced by movies and media cons.
